To be successful at managing events you need to be incredibly well organised, a good communicator, able to work under extreme pressure, be able to think on your feet, be able to solve problems as they happen and often within minutes, be able to work well with all levels within an organisation, know your protocols Corporate, Government and Cultural, be able to work with and facilitate the media, be able to deal with tight deadlines, be able to deal with a range of suppliers at different levels of sophistication, be able to anticipate all possible threats to the event and have a plan in place to counter them, be able to ensure you have a plan A, B and even C if need be, be incredibly good at managing your budgets and cash related to events, be able to travel to any location in the country to manage your event, be able to visualise your clients wishes and turn them into reality while also trying to exceed their expectations as you do so, be able to clearly communicate, inspire, encourage, motivate and clearly communicate to all those involved in your event from the initial concept of the event till the last supplier leaves post event.

If the event is a corporate event, then you need to ensure the event clearly communicates the brand of the company while also positively reinforcing the purpose of the event. If the event is a grand wedding, then you need to take the couples vision and make it into the most beautiful, flawless reality.

Event Management: UNICEF 70th Anniversary
